Styling Tall Boots for Fall & Your Own Twist Link Up #2

This is not a sponsored post.

Remember my post, Running on Empty? I told you all I had about a million collaborations coming up…and here is my third one this week. This one was Monica’s brainchild and it’s a fun one! We have Ada of Elegance and Mommyhood joining us co-host this month. Last month, we brought to you Fashion Icon Halloween Costumes and this month we are sharing our fall outfits featuring tall boots.

As I stated in yesterday’s edition of The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book, you know I love my combat boots. And this over the knee version that I got from ShoeDazzle last year are some of my absolute favorites. They are perfect over skinny jeans, with skirts or dresses, and go perfectly with the edgy vibe of cut off shorts and tights.

Boots: Shoe Dazzle.  Similar here.
Shorts: Torrid Destructed Shorts.
Socks: Torrid Ribbed Thigh High Socks.

Since I was styling my favorite fall combination of tights and shorts, I decided to go with one of my favorite color combinations of black, white, and red. And of course, since I was feeling pretty bad ass in these killer combat boots, nothing other than my Wonder Woman tee shirt would do.

Jacket: Charlotte Russe Glen Plaid & Faux Sherpa Bomber Jacket.
Hat: DSW. Similar here.
Gloves: Target. Similar here.

And with all the badassery of Wonder Woman, over the knee combat boots, and a plaid bomber jacket, I felt compelled to get in touch with my inner child and go have some fun at the playground. We are never too old to embrace our immaturity and the kid inside!

Shirt: Torrid. Similar here and here.

When was the last time you really let your inhibitions go and threw all your f*cks right out the window? I seem to be doing that with much more frequency in these midlife years. Because life is short, so why the hell not?

So now it’s your turn, show us your tall boots and your fun side! Join the link up below! And be sure to go visit Monica and check out the details of her fabulous outfit, too.

I had to share Kathrine’s tall boots look from last month’s Your Own Twist Link Up. I absolutely love this outfit and her amazing layering with all these beautiful fall colors.
