Sparkle with Diamonds & Link Up On the Edge #142

This is a sponsored post. These earrings were provided to me for purposes of this review.

I never was a girl who needed fancy things. Sure, I love clothes and shoes and jewelry and all things related to fashion, but I never much cared for spending piles of money on high end items. Show me a clearance rack and I’ll spend some bucks and bring home a load of pretty things. Pretty things that are pretty cheap. But every once in a while a girl needs to be spoiled. And one of the best ways for spoiling a girl is with diamonds, isn’t it?

Now to be clear, I don’t need diamonds. I mean, no one really needs diamonds. But diamonds have this strange quality of making us feel, I don’t know, special. Like we are royals. Or Hollywood stars. They glimmer and shine and sparkle like unicorns in the mist. And who doesn’t want a little extra sparkle in their life? I know I sure do appreciate some extra glimmer. So when Anjolee reached out to me to try a piece of their diamond jewelry, I headed over to check out what they had to offer. All I can say is this…so much sparkle. I was asked to choose any piece that I liked and I have to admit I was quite overwhelmed by the selection.

When one is offered a piece of diamond jewelry, seriously, how do you choose? So I did something that I have never done in a blogging collaboration before…I asked them to surprise me! All I requested was that it be a pair of hoop earrings in silver. You see, I do have a very small pair of diamond hoop earrings that I purchased for myself about 5 years ago as a simple basic earring for every day wear. They are not too shimmering and are the perfect amount of understated classic sparkle. And just a few weeks ago while I was wearing them, one fell out and I have not been able to recover it. I believe it is in my house somewhere, but who knows. I was a bit saddened by the loss because they were such a go-to piece of jewelry.

Diamond Hoop Earrings: c/o Anjolee

Enter Anjolee and the offer to try their diamond jewelry. So diamond hoop earrings are what I chose and what I received was beyond my expectation. Oh my word, they are the most brilliant shining earrings, much larger than I expected at 5.25 carats, and radiant beyond anything I have ever owned in my jewelry collection. I need to tell you about the presentation of these gorgeous earrings.

First of all, I had kind of forgotten about them and when I came home last week to a large UPS box on the front porch, I was seriously stumped trying to recollect what in the world I had ordered. (Am I the only one that happens to?) I opened the UPS box and inside was a vibrant cobalt blue box with the Anjolee logo on front. Aw, yes, my earrings. But why such a large box? I sat it on the dining room table and my husband and kids gathered around as I flipped the top open. Inside was a pretty little mahogany box and when I flipped that lid open, a light switched on illuminating the brilliance and glow of these stunning earrings. I might have gasped. And I definitely chuckled in delight like a kid in a candy store.

Now, when you receive something of such beauty, the problem arises of what in the world should I wear with them. I am not a Hollywood star nor am I a royal. I am regular girl living a regular life in a small town in Northern New York. I wear jeans and tee shirts most days and I work in a second hand clothing store. So I figured the best way to style 5.25 carat diamond earrings would be with exactly what I would wear on a regular day at my regular job living my regular life…with jeans and a tee shirt. Because why not glam it up and make a regular day a very special diamond day.

Kimono: Target
Tee Shirt and Jeans: Torrid

And since I was styling these fabulous new earrings, I figured I should at least add some killer heels and all my of my favorite very special bracelets…Lil Sis, Happiness, Gratitude, Love, and Fingers Crossed.

Shoes: Burlington Coat Factory
Lil Sis Heart Bracelet: Gift from my Big Sis
Happiness Bracelet: c/o Happiness Boutique
Gratitude Bracelet: Mantra Bands
Love Bracelet: c/o Queen Bitter Jewelry

All I can say is this…these diamond earrings make me feel extra special on any regular day. And you might just spot me wearing them frequently.
