Reminder: The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book-Sweaters/Jumpers & Link Up On the Edge #177

On January 15, Nancy and I will be posting the first edition of 2020 for The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book and we would love for you all to join us! It is that time again to share some of your favorite and least favorite items for January’s Good Buy/Good-Bye Book. This month we are featuring Sweaters and Jumpers. Whether they be long or short cardigans with or without buttons, chunky oversized knit pullovers, turtlenecks, cashmere or cotton, plain or embellished or anything in between, we want to see your favorite (or least favorite) sweaters or jumpers. We are firmly planted in cozy sweater weather in the Northern Hemisphere, however, sweaters are really a four season closet staple, so send us what you’ve got.

What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book?

It is a monthly series that Nancy and I will both publish on our blogs on the 15th of each month. Anyone who would like to participate and be featured can send us their photos with a short description explaining if the item was a Good Buy or one that you will be saying Good-Bye to. We will give you the theme for the next month in each post. Photos will be due to us by the 10th of the month. So please join us for January by sending us some photos of your favorite (or least favorite) Sweaters or Jumpers with a brief description as to why you love or hate them!

You can choose yourself whether you want to show a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye (which is an item you are going to say good-bye to). We will keep purchasing Bad Buys every now and then for a variety of reasons…it was so cheap, you were in a hurry and really wanted (needed) to buy something, it fit almost quite right. But, of course, we also have those purchases that can make us so very happy. A piece of clothing or accessory that you have had for years and that you also wear a lot. Or something you bought on a holiday and every time you wear it you get that nostalgic holiday feeling back. Every month you can choose which item you want to submit. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide the theme for each month. Photos should be submitted to us by the 10th of the month with a few sentences explaining why it is a Good Buy or Good-Bye.

I am pretty sure everyone reading this owns at least one sweater, but probably multitudes of them like I do. Some turn out to be favorite go-to pieces while others may end being not the best money we have spent. Perhaps the sweater is too itchy, didn’t wash well, or pilled into a lumpy mess. Either way, whether you love or hate a sweater, we would love for you to join us with whatever you’ve got. This is probably the easiest theme ever, so let’s get the participation this month to a new high. Feel free to send more than one sweater picture so both Nancy and I can feature you.

Now let’s check out my year in sweaters. These are all of the sweaters that have appeared on my blog in the past year. Be warned: I have a lot. So if you are here to just link up, scroll fast to the bottom and drop your posts!

And that’s only the past year! I do think I have a bit of a sweater addiction…to go along with my shoe addiction, my denim addiction, my kimono addiction, my scarf addiction, my hat addiction, and all of my other apparent and incurable addictions that seem to go along with fashion.

Nicole of High Latitude Style shared a really interesting post about a unique lifestyle issue that is common in very cold weather places, Coming to Alaska-What is a Plugin for a Car. I have heard of car plugins from military friends who have been stationed in Alaska so it was fascinating to read about it in more detail. Plus Nicole shares some wonderful outfit photos as well…so you get two fun topics in one!

Pam of Busy Lifestyle Gal shared some really gorgeous photos from her trip last year to Asheville, North Carolina, in her post, Day Trip: Christmas at Biltmore Estate. Ever since my trip to Asheville this past summer, the place has really captured my heart and so I am hyper tuned in when I see posts about it. I did not have the chance to visit the Biltmore Estate during my visit, but I must make it a point the next time I travel that way.
