On Beneficence & Link Up On the Edge #88

Many of you may already know that my website was hacked this week which resulted in my having to pull the entire site offline until the issue was resolved. Clearly, it has been resolved and I am back up and running as if nothing had ever happened. Except I probably have a few more gray hairs and I may have lost a few pounds from lack of food consumption during the incredibly stressful past few days. I want to properly thank all of the people who were involved in fixing the problem, but I am going to save that for my Tuesday #SpreadTheKindness Link Up…because it is a perfectly suited topic for that. Plus I really have to share this dress from Zaful. You know, blogger obligations. But in the midst of my obligations, I also want to share 11 inspirational quotes about beneficence. There is something so special and beautiful in helping others simply for the sake of helping them.

*This is a sponsored post.  This dress was provided to me for the purposes of a blog post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.

*Dress: Drawstring Waist Striped Shirtdress c/o Zaful.

“You can have everything you want in life if you just help enough people get what they want in life.” –Zig Ziglar

“There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.” -John Holmes

“When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.” -Maya Angelou

“No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.” -Charles Dickens

“You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you.” -John Bunyan

“I don’t want to live in the kind of world where we don’t look out for each other. Not just the people that are close to us, but anybody who needs a helping hand. I can’t change the way anybody else thinks, or what they choose to do, but I can do my bit.” -Charles de Lint

“Doing nothing for others is the undoing of ourselves.”          -Horace Mann

“Give freely to the world these gifts of love and compassion. Do not concern yourself with how much you receive in return, just know in your heart it will be returned.” -Steve Maraboli

“The next time you want to withhold your help, or your love, or your support for another for whatever the reason, ask yourself a simple question: do the reasons you want to withhold it reflect more on them or on you? And which reasons do you want defining you forevermore?” -Dan Pearce

“I’m starting to think this world is just a place for us to learn that we need each other more than we want to admit.”         -Richelle E. Goodrich

“In helping others, we shall help ourselves, for whatever good we give out completes the circle and comes back to us.” -Flora Edwards

Without all of the wonderful people in my life, around me, supporting me, old and new, I could not, would not, be where I am right now…living a life more beautiful than I could have ever dreamed. Thank you.
