Inspired by A Pocketful of Polka Dots: EvaTrends Overalls

This is a sponsored post. These overalls were provided to me for purposes of this review.

Ever since I saw Jennie of A Pocketful of Polka Dots style her Distressed Overalls from EvaTrends back in December, the seed was planted in my brain that I really needed to try a pair myself. But here was my problem…every time I have tried on any type of overalls, jumpsuit, or romper, what resulted was that dreadful front wedgie. You know what I’m talking about. It is not a flattering look. On anyone. But still I would try. Then I would give up. Then I would try again.

And then I saw Jennie’s overalls and noticed that they had a drop crotch. Not a trend that I am really all that fond of, but a trend that may just possibly allow for me to wear overalls without a front wedgie. So I hopped on over to EvaTrends to see what else they had and I was compelled to share some of my favorites in a wish list post in January which did feature Jennie’s exact overalls as well as the ones I am wearing here.

Jennie of A Pocketful of Polka Dots

Fast forward to April and EvaTrends reached out to me to join them for my third collaboration. I did not hesitate for a moment to agree since I absolutely love their selection of unique and fun styles. Scrolling through the options of pieces that I could choose from, I was drawn once again to the overalls. I shared another wish list which again featured some of my favorite overalls including the ones I have styled for this post.

Marca Overall Dungarees: c/o EvaTrends
Snakeskin Cropped Top: Charlotte Russe
Newsboy Cap: DSW

At first, I was hesitant to choose any overalls, still fearful that even with a drop crotch they would be too short on me. I am happy to say that they are not too short. They fit perfectly and just might be the most comfortable pair of pants that I own. My only regret in my EvaTrends choices with this collaboration is that I did not order three different pairs of overalls! I love them that much.

Shoes: Target
Plaid Top: Walmart

I was about to order the darker wash like Jennie’s, so as I sat undecided which would be better for Spring, I allowed my husband to make the final choice. He went with the lighter wash and when they arrived, I absolutely loved the distressed details combined with the faded denim for a super casual farmer-girl-chic style. That is a style genre, right? Farmer-girl-chic? When you pair it with a snakeskin print cropped top, black patent oxfords, and a bright red newsboy cap, I am going to declare that farmer-girl-chic is most definitely a style!

Now to decide on the million other ways that I can wear my new Marca Overall Dungarees! I am thinking tank tops in Summer with wedge sandals or cap sleeve tees with Chuck Taylors. And when Fall rolls around, a fitted turtleneck with combat boots or a long sleeve off the shoulder tee with heeled booties. The options really might be endless. And I really might need like a dozen more pairs!

If you have spotted anything you like from EvaTrends, be sure to use my code SH15 at checkout to receive 15% off your entire order. Pay attention to the measurements provided for each item that you are buying. A lot of their pieces are one size fits most so make sure that you fit into that “most” category before ordering. Also stay tuned to see how I have styled the other two pieces that I have chosen from EvaTrends. And do go check out Jennie and her fabulously inspiring style as well!

Earrings: Solitary Consignment

Have you tried the modern day overalls trend yet? It is quite the throwback look to my childhood in the 80’s but with a much more updated look.
