I Think I Fell in Love: New Arrivals from Ruby Ribbon & Link Up On the Edge #103

This is a sponsored post. These items were gifted to me for purposes of this review. As always, all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.

I love clothes. And shoes. And jewelry. And handbags. And hats. And just about all things that are related to fashion and style. I have always been this way. I will always be this way. It is not something that I have ever considered changing…because I don’t want to. It brings me so much joy. Yes, there are so many more important things in life that also bring me joy…my kids, my family, my home, my friends, good books, great music, savory foods, coffee, waking up with the sunrise, my goals, my hopes, my dreams. But right smack in the middle of all that, fashion also brings me a lot of joy. It is a part of my every single day. I love creating outfits, I love shopping, I love just browsing online and buying nothing. I can get lost scrolling through fashion posts on Pinterest for hours (which is why I don’t visit Pinterest all that often) with a big goofy smile frozen on my face. For me, it is like a fine art enthusiast who visits the Louvre for the first time. I just get lost in all the beauty and the creative innovations. The shapes, the patterns, the colors. All of it fascinates and intrigues me. And just plain old makes me giddy with joy.

And yes, I have a shopping problem. Like many other women (and probably some men, too), I have a closet filled with things that I love, things that I keep around just in case, things are so practical and necessary that you must own them, and things that I never should have purchased in the first place. But it is a rare occasion when something comes along that I legitimately fall in love with! And want it in every single color. Right now, my current love interest is the Ruby Ribbon Racerback Sports Demiette. I never thought I could wear a demiette of this sort that would support the size and weight of my breasts that I could walk confidently out my door wearing it instead of a bra. And I really never thought I would ever walk out my door wearing the demiette without a top at all! Granted, I did stay in my back yard for the photos, but I am sure somebody saw me and I wasn’t even all that self-conscious about it. One thing I have learned about fashion recently is that good quality undergarments can transform your wardrobe completely. The wrong undergarments can completely devastate a cute outfit. But the right undergarments can improve your style game forever.

I am going to show you a lot of photos so you can get the idea of how great this demiette is! (If you are just wanting to link, scroll all the way to the bottom…way, way, way down there.) My bra size is a 38H. Yes, an H! You would never even have guessed that, would you? I often can’t believe it myself. But that is what the measuring tape says and measuring tapes, like scales, don’t lie.

I love the racerback on this demiette. It has breathed new life into a bunch of wardrobe pieces that were showing too much bra strap for my taste.

Now let me tell you about these leggings. They are brand new to Ruby Ribbon…just released last night! So these Reversible Sport Crop Leggings have only become available for purchase within the last few hours. They are black on one side and a desert rose floral print on the reverse side.

These leggings are crafted with Ruby Ribbon’s signature support, shaping, and comfort system. And you get two different looks in one pair of leggings. The quality of the fabric and the detail in the stitching is superb. They are super comfortable with support that is not restricting. And they add practicality and versatility to your work out wardrobe.

Sneakers: Under Armour. Similar here and here.

I topped off my monochromatic black work out outfit with this adorable Diamond Bomber. It is a classic bomber jacket style created from a self-lined poly/spandex blend with a diamond double knit jacquard texture. Other features include front pockets, a zipper front, and ribbed detailing at the neck and cuffs. It is breathable and movable, perfectly suited for three season wear.

I don’t really run. Clearly. The most you will get out of me is a brisk walk.

Now that you have seen the black side of the leggings and what I wear as a base layer, let me show the pretty desert rose floral side of the leggings and this amazing tank top.

The tank top. I absolutely love this tank top for my morning walks. Made with moisture wicking fabric and a sheer back and neckline for greater air circulation, it is super cool and comfortable. It tapers gently at the waist creating a more flattering silhouette and is long enough to cover any problematic tummy rolls.

It is a really gorgeous rich shade of dark blue which contrasts nicely against the black netting. The colors pair perfectly with both sides of the reversible leggings and the blue really makes the colors in the floral print come to life.

I have recently mentioned on Instagram that I had started taking daily walks (which have now tapered off to once or twice a week walks…it has just been way too hot and humid for me to leave my air conditioned house). I literally had no clothing that was appropriate for frequent 3-4 mile walks. My shorts are too short and cause that dreadful thigh chafing. The few leggings that I had were not equipped to stay properly in place during moderate exercise. And shirts, forget about shirts. I had nothing appropriate. I did add a few workable pieces from Old Navy which are okay. But this Ruby Ribbon gear is by far my favorite!  Like I said, I think I fell in love. Madly and deeply in sartorial love.

And seriously, how cute is the whole ensemble paired all together? It sort of makes exercise feel more like a easy jaunt down a fashion runway!  Until the sweat starts to trickle behind my ears, then it just feels like exercise.

Water Bottle: The Amazing Unicorn Woman from Charming Charlie.

I mean, even the deer couldn’t get enough of the pretty floral print on my leggings!

Do you have specific wardrobe pieces that are exclusive for your exercise routine? Are you like me, still wanting to be stylish even while exercising? What are the must have pieces in your work out wardrobe?

And now onto the link up and your featured favorites from last week.
