Holiday Gift Idea by Mapiful & Stay at Home Holiday Outfit Inspiration

I know I have already shared a bit about Mapiful and their gorgeous personalized prints as the perfect gift idea this holiday season. With Christmas drawing ever closer, I wanted to show you how beautifully these prints pair with holiday home decor. And as a little extra bonus, I also created this sassy, sexy outfit playing dress up in my closet the other day.

The combination of black satin, bright pink, and red made me smile. It may be a bit too revealing for a holiday spent at home with children, but for those of you who do not have young children at home and are planning a quiet holiday with your partner, what’s stopping you from making it a sexy, sassy holiday?!

Since I have two things going at once in this post, let’s start with the Mapiful prints. I was gifted this Zodiac print from Mapiful for purposes of sharing this gift idea with you all. As always, all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.

Mapiful offers many different options in customization of their prints so you can personalize your gift from the colors and the size of your print as well as the theme. In addition to the Zodiac maps, they offer the Classic Map Prints, Star Mapiful prints, and Text Art Mapiful prints which allow you to use your own photos and words to create a very personalized print.

Now let’s get to the sassy stay at home holiday outfit. I mentioned in yesterday’s post that I have been enjoying some games of dress up in my closet room recently. I was styling a really cute plaid trench style dress the other day that needed a simple black dress layered beneath it for some extra warmth. (I will share that outfit some time in the future.)

What I discovered about this little black satin shirt dress was that it is rather unflattering on me just hanging there like a shapeless sack. So I challenged myself to find a way to make it work. A red lacy bra peeking out seemed like a fun idea to elongate the neckline and draw attention away from the less than flattering fit of the dress. Because, you know, boobs and bras and cleavage have a tendency to draw all eyes to that spot!

Often with this style of dress, I have to add a belt to give some illusion of shape. I wanted to add vibrant colors with my accessories to keep it fun so I opted for a bright pink skinny belt which then led me to my magenta heeled loafers. The red fishnet ankle socks came last for the final sassy addition to complete the look.

Would I ever leave my house wearing this outfit? Probably not with that much bra being visible! Maybe on a hot summer night at a dance club somewhere. But since dance clubs seem to be a thing of the past and I never really frequented such places anyway, this will have to remain a stay at home outfit. All I know for certain about this look is that my husband really liked it!

Would you ever wear such an outfit? Would you dare to go in public like this or keep it at home?

Have you finished your holiday shopping yet? I only have a few more things to find and I am finished!

Keeping it sassy on the edge,

Shelbee
