Weekend Wish List: Ruby Ribbon & Cami Review

Recently, I was introduced to Ruby Ribbon, a new line of shaping camisoles that claim you can ditch your bra. When I see an opportunity for ditching my bra while still having adequate support in the boob area, of course I have to give it a try. I received my two new camisoles a few weeks ago and have been wearing one at least 3 days a week in lieu of a bra. I have to report that I am very, very satisfied with the quality and the support they offer in all the right places. I still am not ready to give up my bras entirely for certain outfits, but these camis are a magnificent replacement indeed!

*Sheer Full Support Cami (Available in 4 colors).
*Lace Full Support Cami (Available in 5 colors).

I have been wanting to get some photos of my new camis to share with you all, but I have to admit that even the boldest women out there can become quite intimidated by being photographed in our underwear. Then sharing said photos publicly (straight out of the shower with no make up on) can exponentially increase one’s wariness. However, in the interest of keeping things real, raw, and unedited to provide you all with an adequate representation and beneficial review of a brand new product that makes me very happy, here goes nothing (I type as I am anxiously biting my lip before hitting the publish button).

*This is not a sponsored post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.

During my weekend getaway to Lake Placid, in a nice clean hotel room, I took advantage of the environment to get some photos of one of my new Ruby Ribbon Camisoles. I ordered two camis, the Lace Full Support Cami in Deep Sea and the Sheer Full Support Cami in Black (featured in second photo in different colors).

I am finding these camis super comfortable for all day wear. They are equipped with adjustable straps and moisture wicking technology that certainly help in the midst of my newly frequent heat flashes. There is an invisible gripper edge on the inside of the waistband hem which keeps the cami from rolling up, a problem I experience with many other shaping camisoles I have tried. The shaping support is just the perfect amount which does not feel confining and smooths all the places that need smoothing. I have to say I am a huge fan! If you want to ditch your bra, I highly recommend giving a Ruby Ribbon cami a try!

I am wearing my new Ruby Ribbon camis instead of a bra in the two outfits below.

So now that I have adequately exhibited the magic of Ruby Ribbon Shaping Camisoles, I want to share some of my favorite items in their swim wear and clothing lines. You may have already seen my Ruby Ribbon Lace Capri Leggings which are definitely going to be a Spring staple in my wardrobe this year. As most of their pieces are equipped with shaping technology, you really get more bang for your buck in high quality stylish wardrobe pieces that are classic and timeless.

Love this Shelbee! I got mine and really like it, not ready to completely ditch my bras either but I do like the cami. I am planning to do a very similar post, I think it is so helpful to see these on real women!!!
    Nice job my friend!

Jodie, thanks so much! I almost did not show it under my clothes, but you are right…that is how we wear it so you kind of need to see that end of it, too. I really do love them. They are so comfortable. My breasts are extremely heavy and they really do hold them up and in with a few little readjustments throughout the day. I imagine the camis would be even more effective for women with smaller chests.

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Rena, thanks so much! I highly recommend the camis. They have a bunch of different styles and colors and patterns. If you contact my friend Carol she can walk through the process of finding the perfect one for you. I am so happy with these pieces! Keep me posted! Have a wonderful weekend, my friend.

Elle, thank you so much! If you seriously want to ditch your bra, you need to try these camis! They have a whole bunch of options and colors and prints that I think you will find super fun! If you are going to the NYC Bra Crawl on May 24, my friend Carol who is a Ruby Ribbon stylist will be there with me. She can give you more information. I think she will probably even have some camis with her to try. I hope to see you there! Have a wonderful weekend, my friend.

Thanks so much, Gail! I was going to correct your autocorrected comment, but I decided it was kind of funny and will just leave it as is and post your correction separately! I freaking hate autocorrect! I hope you are having a fabulous weekend.

You are a billion times braver than I am! Way to go! Would you believe I put on one of my regular camis I wear all the time the other day and later on realized I forgot my bra😂. That’s a special kind of forgetfulness right there. LOL. ❤️❤️❤️

    • shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com

Oh my goodness, Lisa, I just laughed out loud right into my coffee! That really is a special ind of forgetfulness, isn’t it?! At least you’re all comfortable and able to laugh about it! You should try one of these camis then it won’t matter if you forget your bra! Ha. Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous week.

    Hi Shelbee,
With my condition, I have such sensitivity. i can’t wear things that feel like they are binding. I just hate bras! I am looking forward to just getting out in the mountains to camp!

Jess, thanks so much for the lovely comment. I cannot even imagine what you must go through with such sensitivity. I wonder if the demiettes would work for you since they only cover the chest area like a bra but with pesky underwire. It might be worth looking into. I am going to try one soon myself.

I have large boobs, so I’d be all about something supportive that allowed me to ditch my bra. Going braless is really never an option for me. You look great in these! Thanks for linking up with Ada and I for the Thursday Moda linkup!

Nina, I do love these camis! My boobs are large and heavy so I was pleasantly surprised that I got enough support in these. I want to try the demiettes next. Thanks for stopping by, my friend! I hope you have a fabulous day!
