Vegan Leather Leggings in Marsala

The week is half over and I am thankful that Christmas is right around the corner. I am so ready for it and ready for it to be done as well…because that brings us that much closer to J.’s return home from deployment!

I found these awesome faux leather leggings at Target a few months ago and they are in the running for my homecoming outfit (with a sexier shirt, of course!). They are super stretchy and comfortable with only the fronts of the legs being faux leather. The backs of the legs are ponte. I really love the contrast in texture between the front and back of the pants. Also, the marsala color is right on trend this Fall and they match my marsala ankle booties from Old Navy perfectly. I love that I could achieve that awesome leg-lengthening monochromatic look with pants and boots in the same color.

I paired the leggings with a black and white marled chunky knit turtleneck sweater, a long silver necklace, and a long black scarf to complete the simple yet sophisticated look. I have to admit that I definitely felt a little bit sassy wearing these pants. And the slight heel on the boots elevated my sassiness by about 2 inches as well!

Have you tried vegan leather leggings yet? Does it crack you up that they are called vegan leather these days rather than the old unflattering pleather? It totally makes me laugh!
