Happy Thanksgiving & Link Up On the Edge #24

I would like to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

Today and everyday, I am thankful for so many things.

For those of you do not already know, I had minor surgery on Tuesday. Just a uterine ablation and tubal ligation. Today, I am feeling just a bit sore and hope to get lots of rest over the weekend so I am ready to jump on an airplane next Thursday and jet off to Californina to see the sketch of myself (and 51 other gorgeous bloggers) in Anne M. Bray’s Fashion Rainbow at TAG Gallery. Thank you, Anne, for the fabulous artwork and for giving me a little push to travel! I haven’t in so long.

If you are in the Santa Monica area next weekend, do stop by and check out the show!

I also want to thank my husband for pampering me during my recovery period! And my friend, Lori, for keeping my kids and for bringing us dinner last night (all while her husband is deployed and she’s busy being a “single” mom of 2 young boys at the holidays). A big thank you to Sheryl and Adam who are busy in my kitchen preparing an amazing meal so that my family has a “proper” Thanksgiving dinner today! I also want to thank my friends, Amy and Bethany, for continuously checking in on me and making sure there is nothing else I need during my recovery. I love you all and wish you a blessed and very special Thanksgiving! (Bethany, hang in there, I know this is a tough one for you…but you’ve got this!)

And to all of my family and friends and blogging buddies: I hope you have a wonderful, peaceful, relaxing, and blessed Thanksgiving.

A poem by me, for you:

May your turkey be tasty
And your stuffing just right.
May desserts be aplenty
On Thanksgiving night.

May your house overflow
With your dearest of kin.
And for the sake of Thanksgiving,
May your football team win!
