Feeling Like a Boss Lady in ShopSvelte & Link Up On the Edge #57

Do you have an outfit combination that totally makes you feel like a boss lady? That one piece that makes you feel powerful? In charge? Invincible? That outfit that makes you stand taller, hold your head higher, walk more confidently? Your superhero outfit?

*This is a sponsored post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.

For me, a fabulous curve-hugging pencil skirt makes me feel like a superhero! And what better quality in a pencil skirt than built-in shape wear support? When ShopSvelte reached out to me to try one of their products, there was no hesitation on my part. Founder Liliana Turecki realized as she entered her 40’s that her body was changing and her clothing needed to as well. Focusing on the idea that your clothes “should be a source of confidence, not stress,” the ShopSvelte line was created offering women pieces that respect the female body and meet all of its needs. All of the ShopSvelte pieces have a built in shape wear system that hugs and controls just where you need it to without being constricting or uncomfortable as most shape wear tends to be.

Before choosing a piece from ShopSvelte, I read a few blogger reviews of their leggings and denim products and I was really liking what I read. But since there was already product review information out there in blogland about the leggings, I decided to try a skirt. I chose the black pencil skirt and I know it is going to be on continuous rotation in my wardrobe now. I am going to link the other posts below for you to check out if you want to read more about ShopSvelte products.

But first let me tell you about this skirt. The fabric is so soft with a little bit of stretch, not that crazy super tight spandex fabric that you often find in shape wear pieces. If you have ever worn shape wear, you know what I am talking about. The kind that you break a sweat just trying to pull it up over your thighs! Then you spend the entire day all out of breath because it’s squeezing you so tight. This skirt does not do that. Rather, it gently hugs my curves and smooths out the lumps without feeling like a straight jacket.

As far as sizing is concerned, I fall on the smaller side of the X-Large based on the size chart provided and so I went with the X-Large. If this is the case for you, I would recommend sizing down. I think the size Large would have provided me with a little extra support. In any event, the X-Large offers me comfort and smoothing where I need it.  And it actually gives the appearance that I have a shapely butt. For the record, I have the flattest rear end of any woman I know! So there must be some sort of lifting and shaping power in the seat of this fabulous skirt, too.

If you are looking for high quality pieces that respect your curves and give you the comfort and support that a female body demands, look no further! I promise you won’t be disappointed.
