Wednesday Wish List: All the Cow Print
Nearly four years ago, Dawn Lucy of Fashion Should Be Fun shared the most glorious cow print booties and I have been a woman obsessed ever since. Seriously, how freaking sublime are these boots? Of course, Dawn Lucy found these beautiful specimens of footwear at a thrift shop which left me sort of at a dead end in my search. Throughout the past few years, I would periodically begin searching again and as searches of this sort usually go, I would come up empty. Certainly, I was able to find a few pairs here and there but they were either unavailable in my size, completely sold out (because, duh, it’s an amazing print), or just way too expensive for my budget.
And now I am on a complete and total spending freeze. Especially with the holidays upon us, there will be no shopping for myself any time soon. But that doesn’t mean I can’t do a little online window shopping to see what’s out there. With animal prints trending in the biggest way right now, you can find all sorts of leopard, tiger, and snakeskin prints in clothing, footwear, accessories, and home decor. But still the cow print seems to be a bit more illusive, perhaps because no one wants to be told they “look like a cow.” But even in its infamy, I want all the cow print things! So I have rounded up some of my favorite picks available on Amazon right now.

Dawn is rocking those booties! I have honestly never noticed cow print anything before…I am a little amazed you were able to round up so many options for this post!

Thanks for checking it out, Gina! I prefer the more natural looking fuzzy cow prints like Dawn Lucy’s boots and I couldn’t find too much of that. But it was fun looking!

Nice. You need cow print tights. LOL.
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Thanks, Patrick! You know, if I found them, I would totally wear them! I did see quite a few different pairs of knee high socks in cow print, but they were a bit costumey…even for me!

No wonder you wanted a pair after seeing hers: those are pretty amazing. I really don’t wear print much apart from a couple camo pieces and some leopard ones.

Thanks, Mireille! They really are magnificent boots! I am thinking the cow print would be fun to mix with some camo!

Thanks so much, Jacqui! Now if I could figure out how to make these silly Amazon links look prettier without all that Amazon garbage!

Ha, I missed this one. Found through Catherine’s ShareAll.
I HAVE THOSE SANITA COW CLOGS!!!!!!! I got them on Poshmark.
I also have an expensive cow clutch that I got from a Kickstarter that is absolutely useless. Beautiful yet useless.

I want to rehab it with my… cow belt!
[Goes to blog to find link for useless clutch, does a “cow” search and there is SO MUCH MORE!!!!]
Cow slides that I wore to death.
Overdyed cow jacket bought from an Otis Fashion student sometime in the late 80s.
MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
OMG! Give me the cow things! All the cow things! I cannot believe that a cow clutch is useless. Nope. Not useless at all! I need to go Poshmarking!

Click on the link. You’ll see how little it holds!
What I’m going to do is remove the lacing from the edges, widen it by relacing the pieces to the belt (which will then become a shoulder strap). Have I done this? Of course not. I need a hole punching tool for the belt. It’s on the “special shelf” of the Beautiful and Useless Things exhibit (as opposed to Mending Mountain or the Shoe Rehab Heap).

Laughing out loud right now! I would still carry that baby…empty! And bring another bag to hold my stuff!
