The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Blazers & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #188

Welcome to The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book!

This is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book. A series that I co-host with Nancy where you can choose whether you want to share a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye (which is an item you are going to say good-bye to, previously known as a Bad Buy). Every month you can choose which item you want to submit. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide the theme for each month. Photos should be submitted to us by the 10th of the month with a few sentences explaining why it is a Good Buy or Good-Bye.

This month’s theme is Blazers. So let’s get right to it…

First up is my lovely co-host Nancy of Nancy’s Fashion Style with one her favorite Good Buy Blazers.

Nancy of Nancy’s Fashion Style

“This is one of my favorite blazers even though it is not my best color. I have worn it many times and have had it several years. The inside is orange! I think this blazer is about 7 years old and bought with 50% discount. I bought it at the shop I used to work and as a manager I received that discount. So cost per wear is very low on this one!”

Next is beautiful Jodie of Jodie’s Touch of Style with one her most worn Good Buy Blazers.

“I’m attaching a photo of my striped blazer. It’s been worn SO many times and has to be at least 10 or 12 years old. When I first bought it I thought the stripes might be too crazy, but it goes to show I’ve grown into that crazy!! LOL”

Super stylish Catherine of Not Dressed as Lamb shared one of her favorite Good Buy Blazers.

“My longline camel blazer has been one of the best basics I’ve ever bought for my wardrobe – I’ve brought it out every autumn, winter and spring for the last six years so it was a very Good Buy! I’ve worn with everything from jeans to an evening gown (just as a cover up) and always look forward to styling it afresh when the temperatures start to drop. In fact I bought a similar one in mustard just to give the camel one a rest…!”

The stunning Laura of I do deClaire shared her Good Buy velvet Blazer.

“This green velvet blazer was a good buy. I love the texture it adds to outfits and the boyfriend fit of it.”

The gorgeous Jacqui of Mummabstylish shared an old but trusty Good Buy Blazer.

“So pleased I managed to find some photos for this challenge, it’s just perfect for this time of the year. Hope this is suitable for you. This suit is yonks old, but the blazer jacket works well with quite a lot more than just the matching trousers! Bought for a trip on the Orient Express, I’ve got a lovely memory of wearing it.”

Next is the dazzling Emma of Style Splash with her favorite Good Buy Blazer.

“I have a lot of blazers, but my Pom Amsterdam bugs jacket is probably my favourite. It’s such good quality and I always feel great wearing it. It has adorable bug embellishments and beautiful lining. I get compliments whenever I wear it!”

The beautiful Leslie of Once Upon a Time & Happily Ever After shared a few of her favorite Good Buy Blazers.

“Love my blazers and cannot wait to wear them again. It was very chilly this morning so fall is definitely in the air.”

“Here is my good buy: a thrifted leopard blazer from Amsterdam. When I was traveling I went to a swap fashion event.”

And finally here are a few of my favorite Good Buy Blazers.

“I have had this burgundy velvet blazer in my life longer than I have had my husband in my life (we have been together for 12 years). I found it at a thrift shop in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, about 15 years ago and I believe I paid a hefty $7 for it. It makes its way out every fall and winter without fail. I love the velvet, I love the color, I love the fit. Definitely $7 well spent!”

“I bought this Glen plaid blazer in Target a few years ago and it gets a ton of air time. I believe I have featured it in at least 4 different blog posts. The black and white plaid has proven itself to be very versatile indeed.”

“This striped boyfriend blazer was a find from the Torrid clearance sale last year. I have only worn it one time so far, but I see lots of styling options for the future for this fun piece!”
