Women Igniting Women & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #46

Last week, I attended a power networking event for women in business. It was called Women Igniting Women and was created by the very inspiring Kathi Buskey of McEvoy Insurance, Ltd., a family-owned and run insurance company in Watertown, New York, offering both personal and commercial insurance.

*This is not a sponsored post, but there will be lots of business links at the end! Just my way of supporting women in business in my community.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Kathi came up with the idea for this power networking event when she attended a similar event in Syracuse, New York. Seeing the need for women in business to support and empower one another, she found that networking together was a great way to meet the faces behind women-run businesses, to interact with the intelligent women in business, to develop new contacts within our community, and to help one another reach success within their own business niches.

*Skirt: Old Navy Jersey Pencil Midi Skirt.

Understanding that there is enough success to go around and that the success of one woman does not take away the success of another, I wholly support Kathi’s idea of networking within our community. I also like to share great information when I come by it because it would be selfish of me to withhold!

*Clutch: Old Navy. Similar here.

This event was attended by about 20 fabulous women who are business minded and ready to knock down that old belief that women must compete with each other in order to be successful. Instead, by joining forces, we can help each other be even more successful than we ever imagined.  Together we are stronger.

*Booties: Christian Siriano for Payless.  Similar here, here, and here.

Today, as part of my #SpreadTheKindness initiative, I would like to introduce you all to the amazing women who attended this event. If any of their businesses offer something you may need, I encourage you to click on their links and see if there is a possible business relationship to be formed there. In doing so, you will be supporting some of the most driven and passionate women I have ever met right here within my own little community.

In an effort to not have the longest blog post ever, I will just provide their names and links to their specific businesses.
