The Magnificent 8: How Does Your Garden Grow?
When Spring finally decides to arrive in the North Country, the flowers bloom with a passion and intensity that any seedling would possess after being buried in the frozen ground for a very long and cold 8 months. I know. Because I am quite similar to the frozen seedlings. I have been so cold for so long that I am running out of patience as I await the arrival of some warmth and sunshine so I too can bloom with passion and intensity. And all this time spent in quarantine has further fed my desire to bask in the warm air while the sunshine gently kisses my face. While Spring…

Inspired by La Moumous: White Jeans & Blue Button Down
I am trying so hard to get myself motivated and centered on the positive things in life right now. But with all the uncertainty that we are facing at this time, it is becoming more and more difficult to focus forward and continue on my journey into the future. For the past two weeks, I have allowed this uncertainty to completely block my creativity in both my personal style and my writing goals. And then yesterday morning, it suddenly occurred to me that I shouldn’t be so concerned with focusing ahead, but rather my attention should be concentrated on the very moments that we are experiencing right now. May the Road Rise Up to Meet Us & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #164
“May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back.” Irish Blessing I suppose we could all use some blessings right about now. And while sharing fashion may seem incredibly frivolous in the current environment, I think it is important to keep living our lives as normally as we possibly we can. For me, any topic of discussion that doesn’t revolve around the coronavirus, politics, or the apocalypse is a welcomed topic, indeed. Since today is St. Patrick’s Day which is generally one of those feel happy and good kind of superficial holidays, I am thinking why not embrace the day even more whole…

Embracing My Inner Bohemian with Rosegal
I do love an easy, whimsical, bohemian outfit every now and again. It makes me feel like I am one with nature, like I’m getting in touch with the universe on a deeper, more meaningful level. It gives me a sense of freedom that is often lost in the mundane of our daily tasks. Wouldn’t it be nice to just throw caution to the wind and live a life like that…all of the time? Perhaps. *This is a sponsored post. As always, all thoughts and opinions and entirely my own. But I do also enjoy structure and I appreciate working hard for what I want. I understand that while a…

A Battlefield, A Restaurant, and A Striped Dress
I suppose it is no secret now that I love striped dresses! (Not that this was ever secret-worthy information.) A lightweight, loose fitting dress made of tee shirt fabric is just the most comfortable attire for a hot sweltering day. I wore this dress on Friday for an afternoon date with my husband. We put the boys in day care for the entire day and we headed out to Sackets Harbor for lunch. (It is no secret either that I love food!) We walked around the battlefield and had some fun taking outfit photos. A Battlefield Image Source The Sackets Harbor Battlefield, which is located on Lake Ontario, was the…
