Wednesday’s Quote of the Week: About Life & Change
Oh, this crazy life. And the universe and all of its wild plans. So often, we can feel like we’ve lost control, like we have no say in our destiny, like the plans have already been made without our consent. And sometimes that may be true. But then on other occasions, we realize that we actually do have some control over our lives. We have the power to make changes whenever we feel that change is needed. I have a dear friend who always says that when we find something in our lives that we do not like, we have three choices. We can accept it, we can change it,…

Snow Leopard with EvaTrends & Link Up On the Edge #122
Leopard print is one of those patterns that has become a staple and a requirement in every fashionista’s closet. Over the past few years I have really grown to love this particular animal print above all other animal prints. Although I am very fond of cow prints as well, but that is much more difficult to acquire on clothing and shoes. I suppose no woman really wants to be draped in a print that could possibly elicit comments such as you look like a cow. But I do very much crave a pair of fuzzy cow print boots for some reason. So if anyone ever spots such a thing, please…

Wednesday’s Quote of the Week: The Good Life
Yesterday, I wrote a post about Good Life Healing Arts & Gift Shop, and while I was searching for quotes to share in conjunction with that post, I found an abundance of wise words about living the good life. So it seemed an appropriate theme for today’s Quote of the Week post. All about living the good life. “Life is good when we think it’s good. Life is bad when we don’t think.” -Douglas Horton And isn’t that exactly how we attain the good life? It is a good life when we think it’s good. And when we choose not to think at all, when we choose not to count…

Wednesday’s Quote of the Week & A Thanksgiving Outfit
Thanksgiving 2017Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving in the United States, I wanted to share a quote about giving thanks and gratitude. So I typed in a quick Google search (this is, after all, how one finds inspirational quotes these days) for “quotes about gratitude”. There were countless wonderful quotes speaking to this topic, many are quite well known, like this one … “Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.” —Oprah Winfrey And this one… “I don’t have to chase extraordinary moments to find happiness – it’s right in front of me if I’m…

Welcome to the second post in this series six holiday posts coordinated by the lovely Ada of Elegance and Mommyhood. Last week, thirteen bloggers joined together to bring you Thanksgiving Outfit Inspiration and this week nine bloggers have joined together with our Black Friday shopping looks. This is after a 7:30 p.m. until 1:30 a.m. shift at Charlotte Russe on Thanksgiving night. Followed by 7:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Charlotte Russe on Saturday morning and another 5:30 p.m.…

The Holiday Series 2018-Thanksgiving Outfit Inspiration & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #97
Ada is at it again with a huge blogger collaboration series this year! Of course, I am always ready to join her and this fabulous line up of amazing blogger friends. Today, there are 13 of us bringing you lots of outfit inspiration just in time for Thanksgiving Day. Get cozy, get comfortable, get warm, and eat all the yummy food! For my outfit, I chose my super comfortable, extra stretchy skinny boyfriend jeans from Torrid layered up with a plain gray long sleeve tee shirt and a very old, but very cozy purple poncho sweater. And to keep some edge with my casual style, I added these fun gray…

Just Lounging Around: Covered Perfectly V Neck Leisure Suit
As a woman who loves all things fashion related – clothes, shoes, accessories, and everything in between – I never have any problems finding pieces that I absolutely adore and must have whenever I go shopping. However, for some reason, the essentials seem to trouble me…underwear, bras, and loungewear. So when I discover something fabulous in the categories of underwear, bras, and loungewear, it makes me a very happy woman indeed. When Pauline of Covered Perfectly reached out to me to review one of her products, I was super excited to try the V Neck Leisure Suit. If you are not familiar with Covered Perfectly, it is a small, woman-owned…

Raising the Future & Link Up On the Edge #102
Raising the Future. Oh boy. That is an intimidating responsibility, isn’t it? An obligation that must be taken seriously. One that we cannot approach by simply flying by the seat of our pants. The moment we bring our children into this world or assume custodianship of a child, we become primarily responsible for forming and shaping their world views. And their views of the world will determine how they go forth into adulthood, it will impact how they view all things, it will contribute to their reactions, their work ethic, their level of emotional maturity. Their beliefs and convictions on nearly every matter are influenced greatly by our own beliefs…

Laughter, Luggage Carts & Link Up On the Edge #93
I dedicate this post to my fabulously creative, wonderfully quirky, brilliantly artistic, and fantastically goofy friend, Anne M. Bray of Spy Girl. Anne, I hope you appreciate how completely odd I really am. For those of you know me personally and probably many of you who know me virtually, you most likely already know that I can have fun just about anywhere at any time under nearly any circumstances. I could have fun in an empty room by myself…now don’t let your minds go all perverted with that idea…but well, you know, I will just leave that one alone. Moving on… One of my main philosophies of life is this:…
