Adventures in Thrifting Part 4: Olive Suede Blazer and Gingham Dress & Link Up On the Edge #222
With all the new holiday regulations on businesses and individuals, I have taken to my sweet isolation once again (although I never really did emerge from isolation) and haven’t gone on a thrifting adventure in a while. But my last few trips to the thrift shops were quite fruitful and I haven’t shared everything with you yet. Today’s featured thrifted find is this olive green suede blazer. It is the Lord & Taylor brand and it is 100% genuine leather. I paid $2.50 for it at my local Thrifty Shopper! It was marked at $5.00 and I would have gladly paid that amount but I had a 50% off coupon…

Here We Go Again & Link Up On the Edge #159
Good ole writer’s block has set in. The same thing happened for yesterday’s post and I spent most the day on Wednesday sitting and staring blankly at the computer screen, finding silly distractions to avoid putting words on the page. Finally, my muse decided to show up at the last minute and I was pretty pleased with the post. Yesterday was the same story but with a different ending. I spent most of the day staring blankly at the computer screen, doing all sorts of mundane tasks to avoid writing because once again my muse decided to take the day off. The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book-June 2018-All About Gingham
Welcome to The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book! Welcome! This is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book. A year ago, Nancy and I started The Bad Buy Book, a monthly series about our worst purchases. It was a lot of fun to do and we both learned something from it, too! Nancy learned that off-white against her face is not the most flattering color. And I learned that I have a serious problem resisting a good thrift shop find when it comes to pieces that fit “good enough” but “not quite right.” However, after a year has passed, we decided to change the series a bit. You can choose whether you want to show…

Reminder: The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book-All About Gingham
In just one week, Nancy and I will be posting the fourth edition of The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book and we would love for you all to join us! The theme for June is Gingham! Gingham is a timeless classic that is always popular in Spring and Summer. To me, gingham is sort of like an easy spring afternoon. Like a leisurely stroll through a flower garden. Like a nostalgic time that has long gone. Like a fresh, airy breeze. Like a genuine smile. Like a sincere compliment. Like uncomplicated innocence. Like sunshine. Like lemonade. Like spontaneity. Like purity. Like perfect ennui. Since both Nancy and I are huge fans of…

Girls Who Wear Glasses: EyeCrave Optics and #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #21
I have been hinting here and there recently that I have invested in some fabulous new eyewear…and I couldn’t be more pleased with the final result! There’s an amazing eyewear boutique in my little town that is taking the visually-impaired community by storm…I have driven past it about a million times in the past year and a half since its doors were opened for business. Situated in the best possible spot on the corner of the town square, the outside of the building is appealing and ever so inviting. So many times I have found myself sitting at that red light that seems to last forever, gazing at the charming…

Like uncomplicated innocence. Like sunshine. Like lemonade. Like spontaneity. Like purity. Like perfect ennui. Outfit details: Gingham Dress: Old Navy Tie-Waist Midi Shirt Dress in Blue Gingham (no longer available, but the solid white is available in limited sizes)…
