The Sunday Afternoon Quarterback #7: Some White Out Magic & A Sprinkling of Luck
#7 Penn State Nittany Lions 28 – #16 Michigan Wolverines 21 The White Out! A feared name and quite possibly the most electric home game atmosphere in college football. Over 110,000 college football fans clad in all white, energized by all day tailgating create an amazing sight to witness and an even more amazing crowd to be immersed in during a White Out game. I have attended two of these games in previous years. My first White Out game, which was also the very first Penn State game that I ever attended, was in 2008, against Illinois and then again in 2009 against Iowa. Since those first two games, I…

A Girl Walked into Another Bar & Food for Thought this Thanksgiving Day
A girl walked into another bar. A different bar from the last time. This time she walked in alone. Because she was invited there. A few weeks had passed and there was simply silence with regard to the guy she met in the bar on that random Wednesday night. Now on a random Monday night, as she was lying on her couch watching sentimental romance movies, contentedly enjoying the peace and bliss of her own quiet solitude, she received an unexpected text message from an unidentifiable phone number that simply stated, “I’m in town. At the hotel bar.” Without a doubt, she knew who sent the message and her heart…

The Fine Line Called Friendship
Friends are a necessary part of life. Friendships are a required human relationship among social and communal beings. Few can get through the journey of life without having friends. Other types of friends are much more permanent, remaining steadfast throughout all of the changes we each endure in a lifetime. Even the permanent types of friends may come and go, being more present at certain times and…

Her photos are stunningly beautiful and the message of self-love is even more so. Suzanne…

Winter Florals and a Story About Critters
It’s never dull during North Country winters. From the bitter, bitter cold to lake effect snow to little critters seeking shelter and food, there’s always a story to tell. Today, I am going to share one of these stories. And a cute winter floral dress straight from Shelbee’s Shoppe. As I type this, it is currently a balmy 3 degrees Fahrenheit outside with a total accumulation of approximately 30 inches of snow on the ground from two (maybe three) lake effect snow bands that hit us late in the week. When the cold and snow hit, we all seek shelter and stay inside the warmth of our homes. But we,…
