Thrifted Tweed Blazer
I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving filled with family, friends, and great food. Mine was a quiet, but enjoyable holiday with just myself, my kids, and our roommate, A. I have to admit deployment holidays are kind of a bummer, but we made the best of it. We avoided the hassle of a turkey and had shrimp, steak, ad chicken breast on the grill instead. My Plaid Poncho
The September issue (which came out in August) of Redbook Magazine featured this red plaid poncho in their piece “Fab Fall Style Under $100.” It is from Old Navy, one of my favorite places to shop. And for only $39.94 for wool-blend outerwear, I thought this was a great deal! But I couldn’t find it in Old Navy for a really long time. I would check the store, then the website. Nothing. Olive Green Cardigan and Garlic Olive Hummus
This outfit is a combination of three current trends that I am really digging right now: dark floral patterns, stripes, and the oh-so-popular Chelsea boots. Add in one of my favorite colors, olive green, and I feel super! I put this outfit together to attend an FRG (Family Readiness Group) meeting last week. These meetings are held periodically to keep family members updated on the schedules and happenings within our soldiers’ military units.
