The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book-November 2018-Boots
Welcome to The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book! Welcome! This is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book. Over a year ago, Nancy and I started The Bad Buy Book, a monthly series about our worst purchases. It was a lot of fun to do and we both learned something from it, too! Nancy learned that off-white against her face is not the most flattering color. And I learned that I have a serious problem resisting a good thrift shop find when it comes to pieces that fit “good enough” but “not quite right.” However, after running that series for a year, we decided to change it a bit. For this series, you can choose…

Inspired by Random-osity: Peaceful Retreat
Tamar of Random-osity shared a post about the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., a few weeks ago. It was a short post with beautiful photographs of the cathedral both inside and out and it included very few words. Blue and Gray for Family Photos
Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. I took my boys to the Christmas parade in our town on Friday night. Then we had some family photos taken on Saturday morning and spent the rest of the day at a friend’s house. We got home just in time to Skype with Daddy and woke up Sunday morning all feeling pretty sick. Ugh. ‘Tis the season, I suppose. I hate that feeling of swallowing razor blades. I just hope it passes soon. For family photos, I like to keep it dressy casual and usually choose sweaters and jeans. Since my 4 year old only has one sweater which is…

Glorious Green Plaid
If you have been reading my outfit posts, you know that I love to tell the story behind my outfits. You also know that I don’t usually pay full price for anything unless it is a necessity or I fall completely in love with it. The latter is true of this sweater. This sweater was love at first sight! Green has always been my favorite color and in particular this deep spruce color. And then it’s plaid, glorious green plaid! I literally swooned when I spotted it. How I could not completely love it? And how I could I ever leave it behind? I saw it at Target a few…
