The Fab 40’s Have Gone Wild
The Fab 40’s is a group of six fashion bloggers from around the globe. Each month we choose a different theme and invite a guest blogger who is also in their 40’s to join us. This group’s goal is to take on style trends and show how we each interpret and incorporate them into our own lives. With six widely varied views, you are certain to find something that speaks to you each month and encourages you to continue to have fun with fashion after the age of 40. When wonderfully bold and creatively uninhibited Sheela delivered this month’s Fab 40’s theme, the groans from all of the Fab 40’s gals…

Welcome to The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book! Welcome! This is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book. A year ago, Nancy and I started The Bad Buy Book, a monthly series about our worst purchases. It was a lot of fun to do and we both learned something from it, too! Nancy learned that off-white against her face is not the most flattering color. You can choose whether you want to show…

For playdates, obviously I like to keep comfortable and casual, but I still need to feel good about myself as well. So I went with my Old Navy button fly boyfriend jeans paired with this really cute animal print knit top that I scored from the clearance rack at Kohl’s for $3! THREE DOLLARS! As my sister would say, “That’s almost free!” And, come on, who doesn’t like “almost free”? Especially for an adorable and comfortable top! The weather is definitely getting cooler,…

Meet the Teacher
I went to meet my older son’s pre-K teacher yesterday and I wanted to be “mom casual.” I’m not sure exactly what that means, but I didn’t feel comfortable wearing jeans or shorts, so I opted for tan ankle length pixie pants. I wasn’t sure that a tank top displaying my tattoos was completely appropriate, but it was muggy and hot out and I would rather show my true colors than my sweat! So after playing with layers of lightweight cardigans and chambray shirts, I chose this indigo tank with white stripes and layered a thin scarf around my neck for some extra detail on an otherwise boring outfit. I…
