Stepping Into Spring with DressLily & Link Up On the Edge #37

*This is a sponsored post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Have I mentioned lately how I am longing for Spring? There is still snow on the ground here in the North Country with more forecasted for this weekend followed by some warmer temperatures next week with lots of rain. At least it will wash away all the snow. And warmer is a relative term here.  I still can’t go with bare legs or bare toes. But that’s all fine since my toes are a wreck from being cooped up in socks and boots all winter!  Time for that first Spring pedicure!

Have I mentioned lately that I want all the pretty Spring dresses? For real. There are so many beautiful dresses out there this season, I can’t even stand it. I have been wanting to add some maxi dresses to my wardrobe for Spring and Summer, but I was having the hardest time finding ones that flatter me. And then I saw this navy printed wrap style maxi dress from DressLily and fell in love with it. And I do believe this dress will be on repeat this Spring and Summer. Not only is is so comfortable, lightweight, and soft, it washes so easily, too! That is a big plus for me…easy washability!

Have I mentioned lately that it is still really freaking cold where I live? So I need to winterize all of my Spring clothes. And I do this by adding layers. Lots of layers. This dress is a bit sheer so it needs a little something underneath it anyway. And the top doesn’t quite fit my boobs the way it should (Big Boob problems are real, my friends). So I added a navy tank top and a pair of skinny jeans under my dress.

Have I mentioned lately big boob problems? And how insecure showing too much cleavage makes me feel (wait until you see my post on Monday….oh the cleavage!). Serving dual purposes in this outfit is my scarf…some extra warmth and covering up the big boob problem!

Have I mentioned lately how much I love layering? Duster cardigans are one of my favorite ways to add layers. This white one is an oldie, but it is so great for Spring because it is super lightweight. And it was the perfect topper for this dress.

Have I mentioned lately that I love to add accessories to elevate a basic outfit? Like this hat. And this cute little bag from Rosegal.  It won’t hold much…maybe a change purse, cell phone, and lipstick.  Or a camera.  But the zipper already broke on it.  Boo.  I can still snap it closed though.

How are you all getting on with your Spring clothing? Are you still needing lots of layers to keep warm?  Based on your favorites from last week’s link up, it seems most of you are adding layers to your Spring pieces.  Check it out below.

And it’s link up time! But first…your favorite posts from last week.

Yvonne of Funky Forty shared two fabulous ways to style off the shoulder dresses while it is still a bit chilly. Check out both looks in her post How to Wear Off the Shoulder Pre-Summer.

Yvonne’s second outfit in her post is my absolute fave, but I’m going to make you go visit her page to see it!

And Jodie, Nancy, and Charlotte of Jodie’s Touch of Style have caught your attention once again with their creative stylings in the post Layering Your White Blouse Under Your Sleeveless Shirt. I absolutely love this way to begin styling your sleeveless blouses while it is still too cold for bare shoulders.

Amy of Stylin’ Granny Mama joined these fab ladies for even more styling inspiration in this post. But you are going to have to hop on over to see how Amy has layered her white blouse!

That’s all I have for today! I hope you all have an amazing weekend. Please be sure to check in next week as I have a super fun collaboration post coming to you on Monday!  Have it mentioned there’s cleavage?  (Totally out of my comfort zone, so please be kind!)

Also, submissions for April’s Bad Buy Book are due in a few weeks! To be featured in our next post, please submit a photo of your Bad Buy Trousers!

Keeping it on the edge,

Shelbee
