Naturally Yours Dress and #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #19

I want to share with you today another purchase from my little shopping trip to Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, over the Easter holiday. I recently showed you my adorable new starfish necklace from that trip in a post from last week (purchased from The Gem Shop). Today, I want to show you this fantastic dress I purchased from a beautiful little clothing boutique called Naturally Yours located right in the heart of the historic Jim Thorpe shopping area.

*This is not a sponsored post. All items were purchased by me for me. All thoughts and opinions are my own. And all are in an effort to keep kindness alive in this crazy world.

This post is less about the fabulous dress and more about the fabulous shop! First of all, when you enter the store, you are met with the most amazing aroma permeating the air from the essential oils and organic soaps that line the shelves. The there is June, the beautiful and kind owner of Naturally Yours. She is absolutely one of the friendliest people on earth, in my opinion! Her taste in women’s apparel is so directly in line with my own sartorial tastes that I literally wanted to buy everything! After trying on about 100 different pieces and attempting to remain as budget-conscious as my overspending self could possibly be, I settled on this fun yet muted scenic tee shirt dress in olive. The scenic print on it is only fitting for a purchase made in the very scenic-rich town of Jim Thorpe!

And here is the really awesome part about Naturally Yours…it is an eco-friendly organic shop which strives to stock their shelves with products from fair trade companies and local artisans. And since I cannot explain it any better, I am going to share this directly from the Naturally Yours Facebook page. (June explained that her website was currently down, but everything you need to know is on Facebook!)

“We endeavor to carry products that have as low an impact on our environment and our health as possible. With that goal in mind, we carry organic cotton, bamboo, alpaca and hemp clothing for adults and infants. We also carry honey and beeswax based soaps, natural personal care items, essential oils, massage oils and stainless steel bottles. We attempt to obtain as much of our product as close to our business as is possible. As such, we have local artists supply clothing accessories and jewelry from recycled materials. We also carry fair trade clothing, accessories, jewelry and handcrafted ‘treeless’ paper products.”

How amazing is that? Anyone who runs a small business that is not only eco-friendly but also supports other small businesses right in their own geographical location is a superstar in my book!

So in traditional Shelbee fashion, I threw this super comfortable dress over a pair of cropped jeans for a day of traveling back home. I had limited clothing and accessories packed for the weekend so I had no choice but to pair a black scarf with navy booties! Oh well, fashion rules are meant to be broken! And the finishing touch was one of my favorite necklaces by Michal Golan. I have worn it so much that it appears to have lost a stone. Oh well, that is just a sign that is a truly beloved piece of jewelry! This is one of her discontinued pieces that I picked up when I visited her studio back in October. You can read about that here.

This post is about the wonderfully eco-friendly June of Naturally Yours. So do hop on over to her page and have a look for yourself. And if ever you find yourself traveling near the historic town Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, pop in and tell June that Shelbee on the Edge sent you! And keep spreading the kindness!

Your favorite posts from last week.

Yvonne from Funky Forty showcased the most glorious tunic I have ever seen! I am yearning, swooning, drooling, fainting, dying over this tunic! You can read all about it in her post Beyond the Little Black Dress for any Shape.

And Trina of Tipsy Heelz shared a fabulous array of plus size dresses in her Summer Dress Wishlist. I adore the fun patterns she has chosen. And, of course, being a plus size girl myself, I totally appreciate the help in finding amazing plus size options!

Have fun linking!

As always, spreading the kindness from the edge,

Shelbee
