My Torrid Love Affair and #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #22

I am having a serious love affair.  It has become quite passionate.  And I have no shame in it.  Seriously, Torrid, where have you been all my life? I know. I know. I just raved about Torrid like two days ago on my Weekend Wish List. But now I want to show how I have styled some of their fabulous denim. I also must warn you, I am probably going to rave about the amazing girls who run Torrid in the Salmon Run Mall…again. Because today I am spreading the kindness. Like I do every Tuesday. And yes, I usually like to focus these posts on small businesses and Torrid is by no means a small business. But…the girls who work in my local Torrid are so completely fabulous that they deserve a post dedicated to them!  So Dawn and Danielle, this one is for you.  Thanks for being extraordinary!

*This is not a sponsored post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

But first, I need to talk about these Star Print Boyfriend Jeans. Oh my love! The star print is freaking adorable. And they are so comfortable. I sized up on these mostly because my size was not available in the store and I needed immediate gratification. Because isn’t that the nature of love affairs? Acting irrationally and seeking immediate gratification? I did try on another pair of boyfriend jeans in the correct size and I didn’t like how snug they were through the thigh area. I am actually really glad I went up a size. I like my boyfriend jeans to look like they would fit my boyfriend!

Outfit Details
Jeans: Torrid Cropped Boyfriend Jeans – Medium Wash with Star Print.
Tee Shirt: Women’s Plus Size Dip-Dye High Low Tunic – Ava & Viv™ from Target.
Jacket: Target (No Longer available, but similar here and here).
Necklace: Walmart.
Boots: Christian Siriano for Payless (No longer available).

And then there are these freaking amazing Jeggings! I just can’t even begin to describe the heaven that is these jeans. I wasn’t even shopping for jeans. I didn’t need jeans. I have about 100 different pairs of jeans.

But I was trying on clothes in Torrid Salmon Run Mall and I wore a dress out shopping that day. So my options were to try on tops wearing just my underwear or grab a pair of pants to wear on the bottom. So that sneaky, fabulous, amazing, brilliant sales associate, Danielle, brought me these jeggings. I was all like, “I’m only trying these on to have bottoms while I try on tops. I don’t need jeans. I’m not buying any jeans today.” I think she was laughing to herself as she handed them to me with a slight, almost unnoticeable, knowing twinkle in her eye. Because as I soon as I put them on, I changed my tune very quickly. They are seriously the softest denim I have ever had on my body. They accentuate every good curve and they suck in the bad curves. (Is there such a thing as bad curves?  Probably not. But you understand what I mean.)  They have lots of stretch and move so easily with no sagging…all day long.

Now for my shameless praising of Torrid Salmon Run Mall (because I haven’t quite done enough to do them justice).  For real, if you are local to the Watertown, New York area, and you need some amazing plus size fashions (sizes 10-30), you need to visit store manager, Dawn, at the Salmon Run Mall. She and the rest of the sales associates will make you feel “confidently beautiful”. Like and follow their Facebook page to stay up to date on promotions and new products. And to read more about how fabulous they are and to see my favorite Torrid picks, check out my recent blog post.

So, tell me, what kind of love affairs have you all been engaging in lately? And how have you spread kindness this week?

And now let’s keep spreading the kindness with your favorite posts from last week’s link up.

Nancy of Nancy’s Fashion Style shared a funny thrifting experience and a gorgeous new “non-thrifted” dress in her post Is Thrift Shopping Something For You? While she may not have had any thrifting luck, she did choose the perfect new dress which is ever so flattering!

And Nora of Jacket Society shared a beautiful combination of houndstooth and stripes in her post How To Pull Off a Chic Pattern Mix. I love the colors in her blazer and this entire look is so polished.

As always, I am so grateful to all of you who stop by each week and add your links. Your continued support is so appreciated. Have fun linking again and keep spreading the kindness!

Keeping it on the edge,

Shelbee
