My Foxy Snood and #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #5

It has been a few weeks since my last #SpreadTheKindness Link Up, but I am finally getting back on track and today I present you with my new foxy snood! My snood is a bit wonky because the pattern is upside down. But this is what I love about my fun snood. It’s little imperfection is what makes it perfectly suited to me. After all, isn’t it so important to embrace all of our little imperfections? Isn’t it our imperfections that make us unique and special diamonds in the rough, so to speak? Our quirks, our strange little habits, our eccentricities, and all of our differences are what make this world an interesting and fulfilling place. So embrace it all, my friends. Embrace it all! And remember to #SpreadTheKindness!

My wonky little foxy snood was made especially for me by the amazingly talented and supremely artistic Dutchess Von Dawson of Eternally Thirsty.  Dutchess makes all sorts of unique and interesting fashions for the quirky and unconventional. You can view her creations in her Etsy Shop. Thanks so much, Dutchess! I am in love with my snood for a multitude of reasons. It’s cute. It’s wonky. It’s upside down. It’s warm. It’s functional. And the fox is my self-proclaimed spirit animal (meaning that I just really love foxes)!

So I thought it only fitting to wear my new sparkly foxy necklace with it. My mother-in-law so thoughtfully chose this necklace for me for Christmas this year. I am so grateful for her uncanny ability in choosing gifts that I adore! How many of you have an awesome mother-in-law like that?  Thanks, Gramma, for being awesome!

And now a little about my spirit animal. The fox. While the fox is often associated with the characteristics of a trickster, being cunning and sneaky, as a spirit animal these characteristics take on a more positive meaning. The fox has the ability to see through deception because it is cunning. The fox as a spirit animal encourages you to take action quickly and swiftly.

“Being inspired by a fox totem, you can work at developing the sharpness of your mental skills: Analytical intelligence, power of deduction, observation can come into play more powerfully in how you deal with daily matters or bigger projects. The spirit of the fox may also imply that you are sharpening your physical alertness and responsiveness.” (from Spirit Animals and Animal Totems).

“The fox has long been considered as witty, quick and intelligent.” Find out what your spirit animal is by taking this fun quiz!
