Mad About Plaid and a Graphic Tee

The combination of jeans, tee or tank layered under a plaid button front shirt, and sneakers is one of my favorite lazy day outfits. Perfect for playdates, errands, or just hanging around the house. I know I have mentioned in previous posts that I have gone mad for plaid (among other trends) this season, so it is only fitting that I post a plaid shirt outfit of the day.

I found this pink and gray plaid button front at Burlington Coat Factory in their Juniors’ section and the soft, feminine hues really appealed to me. I layered it over a gray-on-gray graphic print tank top and paired it with my go-to boyfriend jeans and patterned Converse low top sneakers. I finished the look with a long silver Tree of Life necklace. Super casual, super comfortable, and ready to tackle another day in the life of a boymom!

Plaid shirt: Passport 2 pocket plaid button front shirt in coral-navy-mocha from Burlington Coat Factory.

Graphic tank: Old Navy. No longer available, but they have a great variety of graphic tanks here and graphic tees here.

Jeans: Old Navy Women’s Boyfriend Straight Jeans.

Sneakers: Converse Chuck Taylors (Very old), but definitely check what current styles they have on their website o design your own!

Necklace: Silver Jewelry by Denise Smith. Denise Smith is a local artisan whom I met at the Lowville Cream Cheese Festival in September where I bought my gorgeous hand crafted Tree of Life necklace. Check out her designs on her Facebook page. I am sure I will be adding more of her pieces to my jewelry arsenal!

What are you favorite casual on-the-go outfits? Are you as mad about plaid as I am? How about Chuck Taylors (a very old and dear love of mine)? Please share in the comments. I would love to hear from you!
