Glorious Green Plaid

If you have been reading my outfit posts, you know that I love to tell the story behind my outfits. You also know that I don’t usually pay full price for anything unless it is a necessity or I fall completely in love with it. The latter is true of this sweater. This sweater was love at first sight! Green has always been my favorite color and in particular this deep spruce color. And then it’s plaid, glorious green plaid! I literally swooned when I spotted it. How I could not completely love it? And how I could I ever leave it behind?

I saw it at Target a few weeks back and there were only two left, an X-Small and a Large. I usually wear an X-Large or an XX-Large in Target, but I tried it on anyway. It is not as loose fitting as I usually like my sweaters, but it fits comfortably over a thin top or a tank top. It is new in their Fall line and at full price is $29.99. But I did have my Target Cartwheel App up and running and saved 10%. So I paid about $27 for this awesome green plaid cardigan which isn’t really a steal, but it is still a deal since I will get tons of wear out of this baby! Do you love it, too?!

Since the cardigan is such a statement itself, I paired it with a basic black sleeveless mock turtleneck, gray boyfriend jeans, and black booties (worn previously here. I completed the look with layered chains, one simple gold chain (also worn here) and my rose gold chevron necklace (shown previously here. I was super comfortable since I was just wearing jeans and a sweater, but I felt fabulous because I was wearing a fabulous sweater!

Do you have a color that absolutely makes you swoon? How about that one comfortable fabulous sweater that you love to wear? I would love to hear from you!

Keeping it on the edge,
