Brushstrokes by Melina at the Torrid Halloweenie Costume Party & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #41

My friends at the Torrid Salmon Run Mall had a Halloweenie Costume Party last week to kick off preview day for Haute Cash. For those of you who may be unfamiliar with Haute Cash, it is an incentive offered to Torrid shoppers to earn more spending power while shopping. During the earning period, you receive one $25 coupon for every $50 spent. The coupons are good for $25 off every $50 spent at the time of redemption. Torrid Insiders are eligible to use their Haute Cash on preview day which is the day before anyone else can begin using their coupons. So in honor of that, Dawn and her team at the Salmon Run Mall location hosted a fabulous costume party complete with a marvelous DJ, a costume contest with prizes, and the marvelously talented fantasy face painter, Melina Kilpatrick of Brushstrokes by Melina.

Because I absolutely adore the staff at Torrid Salmon Run Mall, I commit myself to spending a few hours hanging out in their store for special events and helping customers with their styling needs. I love doing it and I really just love being around this fabulous group of fun, energetic, and inspiring women! I always feel uplifted and rejuvenated whenever I walk into that store!

But now let me tell you about Brushstrokes by Melina. It is an entertainment company which specializes in full and half face fantasy face painting as well as glitter tattoos and balloon art. You can find Melina at many of the festivals and markets that take place in the North Country during the summer months. Brushstrokes by Melina offers premium quality entertainment at competitive rates while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and professionalism. Face painting is a fun addition to any event such as birthday parties, military or corporate events, or holiday parties. As evidenced from the photographs in this post, face painting is not just for children. Adults have so much with it, too!

A self-taught artist, Melina is supremely creative and talented. With a gentle hand and a calm and quiet demeanor, she quickly gets to work on whatever design you have requested. She will always add her own little clever touch to each and every design that she creates making your face (or arm or chest) a unique one of kind work of art by adding a little shimmer here and a splash of glitter there and choosing colors that flatter each individual.

Oh, Dawn.

Dawn got a little hangry during the afternoon, so we decided to create a Snickers advertisement.

I am not much of a costume person, but I was excited to be able to wear my Peacock Cape again. Of course, Melina gave me the most gorgeous peacock design on half of of my face.

With Halloween right around the corner, maybe you need some Brushstrokes by Melina to complete your Halloween event!
