Blue and Gray for Family Photos

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. I took my boys to the Christmas parade in our town on Friday night. Then we had some family photos taken on Saturday morning and spent the rest of the day at a friend’s house. We got home just in time to Skype with Daddy and woke up Sunday morning all feeling pretty sick. Ugh. ‘Tis the season, I suppose. I hate that feeling of swallowing razor blades. I just hope it passes soon.

For family photos, I like to keep it dressy casual and usually choose sweaters and jeans. Since my 4 year old only has one sweater which is gray and my 2 year old has two blue sweaters, my color scheme was blue and gray by default! Both boys wore blue jeans as well. And I wore dark wash skinny jeans with a gray tunic layered under a color blocked long waterfall open-front cardigan in two shades of blue. I added adorable gray booties, a long tassel necklace in silver, and a blue plaid blanket scarf. Casual, comfortable, and coordinated! I am so excited to see how the photos turned out! A big thank you to Alicia Anderson of AMA Photography for being so awesome with my crazy boys!

How do prefer to dress for family photos? Do you get more dressed up than usual or keep it casual? I would love to hear from you!
