All Glammed Up for the Holidays with Zaful & Link Up On the Edge #70

I hope all of my American friends had the most blessed Thanksgiving Day and you are relaxing today, content with full bellies and overflowing with joy due to great times spent with friends and family. Now that Thanksgiving has passed, Christmas and the New Year are staring us directly in the eyes. And what better way to stare back at the most festive of holiday seasons but with all the glam, shine, sparkle, and sass that we can find in our wardrobes?

Today, Ada of Elegance and Mommyhood is joining me as co-host of my Link Up On the Edge (which can be found at the end of the post) and we are sharing our glammed up holiday inspired outfits with you.

When the wind gets the best of your hair!

I have had this little black dress hanging in my closet for a few weeks needing to be styled on the blog. It was definitely one of those impulse decisions to add a lace up bodycon dress to my wardrobe. But then I thought, what the heck, let me be bold and brave with this little number. And I figured my husband would like it, too! (He does, by the way.)

There’s that wind again!
At least the wind is working with me here.

When I finally got around to styling it, the temperatures had dropped and the winds had increased, so going sleeveless was not an option. I simply layered a fitted black turtleneck underneath and was pleasantly surprised that it worked. Then I added some patterned fish net stockings, pink velvet booties with sparkly heels, and this fun floral printed blanket wrap that I made for myself many years ago. More sparkles on my ears and a bold purple clutch and I am ready to attend whatever holiday event that way come my way!

*Boots: Charlotte Russe Rhinestone Embellished Velvet Booties.

Do you like to get dressed up for holiday occasions? Or do you stick to more casual wear? Maybe your preference is in the ugly sweater department!

And now your favorite posts from last week.

Cathe of Atypical 60 showcased all the plaid and so many amazing outfits in her post, How To Wear Plaid When You Are Over 50. Being of the same belief as Cathe that “plaid makes me happy,” I completely swooned over all the pretty patterns in her post! So if you, too, are a plaid lover, you must stop by and visit Cathe.
