All American Ensembles

With Independence Day quickly approaching as the quintessential All-American holiday and the epitome of summer celebrations, I thought I would provide you with some outfit inspirations in our national colors. I really do love combining red, white, and blue, and I wear this combination quite often. Below are just some patriotic ensembles I have created in recent months. Hopefully, you can find some inspiration for your barbeque, picnic, party, or firework outfits!

Outfit 1: Blue and white floral and stripes with red accents.

Outfit details:
Floral shirt: Gap Factory Boyfriend Utility Shirt in Blue Floral Print. This is only available in size XS online, but for a clearance price of $12.97. They have other really adorable prints in all sorts of gorgeous color combinations in this exact shirt.
Tank top: Old Navy (from last year). They have a crazy big selection of tank tops online including stripes and other wonderful prints here.
Pants: Gap Factory Pinstripe Girlfriend Khakis in Blue Stripe Yarn Dye. Very limited sizes available online but currently on sale for $32.99.
Belt: Walmart (from last year).
Sneakers: Converse One Star purchased from Target way back when Target carried Converse One Star. Does anyone else remember that? I wonder why they stopped carrying the brand…
Purse: TJ Maxx (I can’t find it online, but the link will take you directly to their white handbags under $50.)
Necklace: I have had this necklace for so long that I have forgotten where it came from.

Outfit 2: Fireworks and boats shirt with blue gingham shorts. The pattern on the shirt combines white, blue, and coral, but the fireworks print is in line with 4th of July.

I also have styled red, white, and/or blue outfits quite a few times on the blog. If you want more inspiration, please check out these posts:

Spring Favorite: Tee Shirt Dress and Sneakers. Here I show 3 different tee shirt dresses, but the third one on the post is all red, white, and blue.

A Battlefield, A Restaurant, and A Striped Dress. Here I wore a blue and black striped swing dress with black and white accessories, but you could very easily add pops of red to this outfit to make it more patriotic.

Vanity or Sanity? In this post, I styled a red and white cocoon dress with black and white accessories. Change out these accessories for blue ones and you have a fabulous outfit for an All-American holiday!

Gingham is My Jam. This is where I wore a blue and white gingham shirt dress as a jacket over a white sundress and added red accessories.

Kimono Love. My red, white, and blue fringed kimono paired with a blue star print tank top and boyfriend jeans just screams American holiday!

And if you shop my closet at Shop Shelbee Lane, you might find something else fun for the 4th of July!

I hope you have found some inspiration for your holiday weekend style! What are your plans for the upcoming holiday weekend? Do you have an outfit already planned?

Staying patriotic on the edge,

Shelbee
